Christmas Ride?????

I had a super fast gallop on the beach with the OH. I do wonder why my horse is an ex-racer as I don't think I have ever gone so fast
 
At work so no ride today :( both horses having a 2 week holiday as working so much over Xmas and new year. So just muck out, feeds and some grooming and cuddles x
 
We had a nice little blast this morning had a little canter after some deer(couldn't resist) and had a nice gallop and enjoyed the quiet and sunshine.
 
We had an energetic schooling session which wasn't helped by my custom tinsel breastplate falling off on one side and resulting in a good broncing!

After that I decided to take him down the road for a wee hack. He was very good - our first Xmas one together too :)
 
hacked out at 8am this morning. Lovely and peaceful hack on the plain on my own. Apart from meeting the hunt walking the hounds in which my boy seemed to think he was off hunting! passaged back to the yard! lol x
 
Hacked out to next village with a hat and tinsel on my mare, really great to get out on her after last Xmas day when my dad died so last year didn't get out on her, meant a lot to me.
 
We didn't ride, sort of ran out of time plus there's are some pretty severe floods (as in swimming deep!!) round here! Horses got a bit of Christmas cheer when we turned husbands horse out to join the merry band of ponies, he posed with his elf hat on :)

I had planned to but it was too windy and horrid. I did have a lovely Christmas breakfast at the yard and thankfully the weather today was fab so we had a lovely hack today instead!
