My sprocker has never really had wind issues but he went into kennels whilst we were on holiday and ever since he’s been home his farting has increased noticeably. We sent him with his own food - Forthglade and mixer biscuit. He came home looking a bit skinnier but he’s been home 2 weeks and is looking better weight wise. I thought If it was a stress thing with his tummy it would be starting to go now.
He’s out and about with me all day but in the evening when we’re chilling out omg it’s ???. Farting all night. Any ideas? ?‍♀️

is he eating faster than normal? This can cause excess gas.
Maybe in kennels he thought he might lose his food to other dogs so started wolfing it down and carrying on at home after.

Could he be eating something while he's out and about all day with you, different horse poo or something he wouldn't have found before? Mine's currently got the habit of eating rabbit and pheasant poo! ?

I’ve watched him tonight and he does seem to be scoffing. I’ll have a look at the greedy feeder bowl options. Thanks ?

How is his stomach generally since he came back? Mine started to lose weight, intermittent tummy issues but fine in between and was also windy. In her case it was giardia causing it.

His stomach seems normal. He’s a bit of a pain as he poos a lot when we’re walking and they soon descend into runny adrenaline poo ? so it can be hard to tell ?‍♀️

I wonder if he's developed a food intolerance, maybe caused by stress? With my dogs, wind has always been related to food that doesn't agree with them. Standard mixers in all likelihood contain wheat, which is inflammatory and bad for the gut/dog in general. CSJ do a better one. A probiotic might help. I give my dog YuDigest, but Pooch and Mutt Bionic Biotic is often recommended.

Do you feed wet or dry food? My son's dog cannot tolerate dry food and it has the same effect as you are seeing. He's now switched to raw food and could not be happier. Adding a slice of burnt toast to the food will add charcoal and help to sweeten the air....!
