We are hoping to have a JRT puppy in a couple of months time. Its several years since we owned a dog and we need help re diet. What are peoples opinion on Chudleys feed please? Or could you recommend a suitable diet preferably dry.

Swear by it !! Doesnt look tooexciting but my 2 GSPS have been on it for 10 years and its the only thing that keeps the weight up on the male. They look amazing on it. Switched to a cheaper brand a while ago but have gone back....Good luck with your puppy xx:)

I used Chudleys puppy when i first got my Rottie pup. I got a slap on the wrist from forum foodies. But i quickly noticed why. She was itchy, her poo was RANK, her coat was dull and scurfy too.

I switched to Skinners Field and Trial Puppy. Much better :D

Autarky is not hypoallergenic!

The autarky puppy is no better than Chudleys puppy.

Chicken meal (26%), Maize, Wheat, Chicken fat, De-hulled soya bean, Chicken liver, Rice, Prairie meal, Salmon oil, Unmolassed beet pulp, Full fat linseed, Salt, Yeast, Mannan oligosaccharides, Yucca, Blackcurrant, Charcoal, Kale, Spinach, Beetroot, Rosemary, Rosehip & Pomegranate.

Maize, chicken meat meal, rice, chicken fat, green vegetables, carrots, whole linseed, prairie meal, yeast, herbs, spices, seaweed, yucca extract, with EC permitted antioxidants: mixed tocopherols, vitamin C and rosemary extract.

Chudleys working classic:
Ingredients:Wheat, chicken meat meal, maize, chicken fat, barley, rice, chicken liver, full fat soya, unmolassed beet pulp, dicalcium phosphate, yeast, salmon oil, blackcurrant extract, taurine, seaweed, with EC permitted antioxidants; mixed tocopherols, vitamin C and rosemary extract

I can't imagine the puppy food is any better. I'd say it's rubbish. Remember that puppy specific food seems to be an unnecessary idea, just use normal adult food.

Would you like to look through this list of traffic light foods?
