Dan was a star today and you would never have known he was 2 years without competition.
Firstly he loaded like a saint which confirms previous loading probs were due to pain. Then travelled like a saint then stood on lorry for good hour as was so early due to him loading straight away!
Was first to go and warmed up nicely and then went in and did respectable but conservative test as arena was deep in places. Canter even felt 'ok'.
Was in shock to discover we got 67.2% and even more shocked that we went on to win the class!
he even got several 8s including one for his canter!!!!!
Second class he struggled a bit with the suface especially in the corners as had really got deep but did another very respectable test. got 63% and =4th though 5th on collectives.
Most important point though not a hint of lameness or unlevelness, infact a friend who came to watch said he was probably the soundest in the class!
So chuffed to bits with the lad as he behaved like a saint and didn't even try bugger off in the canted once which he can easily do if he desires in the snaffle!
So onwards and upwards and will continue building up the work and see what happens. Will have to try push myself to actually find him a sharer as well at some point
