Chunky but 'elegant' reins

I am looking for a pair of reins for dressage that are chunky to feel but not too butch! I have lost some feeling in my fingers and like the feel of rubber grip reins but I would prefer something with a bit more of a 'leather' look. I can't get on with halr rubber dressage reins at all. I quite like the look of the Jeffres Bio Grip reins - are they any good?

I love bio-grip reins because they are much more flexible than normal rubber reins. Also they still have good grip when wet. Sorry but they don't look like leather though, which you were hoping for!

Could you try laced leather reins. Their not rubber, but quite chunky so might help you feel them, but as they are completely leather they would look a lot more elegant.
