Cider vinegar for a yearling

I have a 18 month old hanoverian, he dropped off quite alot after gelding which was when i bough him, he has picked up alot now, he is having a balancer a pasture mix and a hi fi type thing as adviced by a feed rep/expert, he is looking good but i feed all my horses cider vinegar and they look well on it is it ok to feed a cider vinegar to a youngster? And I was thinking of giving him some sort of oil as well just to help him through the winter.

I don't think the cider vinegar would be of much benefit to him, you'd be better with some soya oil and a decent youngstock mix.

Fine to feed & is full of amino acids & minerals so would be worth putting him on he cider vinegar. That is if it is the unpasturised & unfiltered stuff.

I'd echo that. The cider vinegar certainly won't do him any harm, and as has already been said, is full of goodies. Regards the youngstock mix, if he looks good on what he's currently fed then I can't see any need to change, although if you're considering adding oil to his feed then why not swap your hifi for alfa oil? Far less faff
