I have heard that cinnamon is good for over weight or insulin resistant horses.
I have a very good doer who can be overweight during the summer and I was just wondering if it actually works ???

The only thing that gets weight off a fat horse is reduced feeding and lots of good old hard work/exercise. Cinnamon is very nice in mince pies.

As above.
However I wouldn't want to spoil the mince pies by adding cinnamon.

My extremely good doer gets it along with other measures like restricted grazing and soaked forage - impossible to say whether it has an impact but it can't do any harm. I've just had her feed and supplements professionally reviewed and cinnamon was one I was advised to continue (along with milk thistle).

Give me a skinny minnie any day!!
