Now i must thx folks for thier good luck on thursday as yesterday i did my first dressage test for ages at Rc Areas at Hartpury.
Got there and was met with nornal RC things, but did check out the warm up arena and was a little shocked to see a rider in top hat and tails and GB badge looking very much like ZP. Mmmmmmmmmm nar she's not doing RC stuff

, then my mate pointed out that they where doing the FEI stuff in other indoor arena and as it was pissing it down outside,so they where were warming up with us RC lot

Spud was a delight and warmed up lovely, then got my call to go down to holding arena, then my relaxed pony changed (or could it be rider?) into 'The spook monster'!!. Just as i went into the main arena for my test i resigned myself for a spooky test, but to my totally delight Spud did a sweet, little and not prefect test, but in my eyes he was a good boy

and we enjoyed, plus i remembered my N25 test which is always bonus

After having a general catch up and goss with my other team members we popped along to score board, to my shock horror we got 66% and with half the scores up i was in 2nd place

. So he was good boy, i knew we wouldn't finish in that place, but pretty good for first time out this year.
Later i found out, we were 6th on my arena and our team was 3rd (out 35 teams)so 2010 rossie collection has started.

Now to socks bit, i was very kindly given some new coolmax socks OMG why o why haven't i ever discovered these before!!! i know it's only socks BUT i do struggle with keeping warm!! so big tumbs up for these - could this have been the key to our %???

me too

, but i do think we need to work on rider more than pony! I've got lesson tues with dressage trainer and i know she's going to bash my ears about doing some BD, and i think she's right!

Well done you !! I was doing the N25 as well and I was warming up in that arena when Zara was -there was a guy on a grey horse did you see him ?
- my test was pants though he went from a happy horse to tense horse in the walk way down !!
Well done on having a good test lots of people didnt!!

I actually retired halfway thru as it was so bad i was a bit upset but i heard i wasnt the only one to struggle - I was a little person on a bay big horse!

Socks sound great, am always on look out for good ones. Are the non-foot bit of the socks (sounds odd but you know what i mean?!) very thick? Trouble i have is i can't get my long boots on if socks are thick from ankle upwards, meaning my toes get sooooo cold!!!

ooooooooooooo sorry to read you R yourself, but when i did sj last year again lots of horses struggled in the big arena. There is just so much stuff happening, if it makes you feel any better i was very nearly dumped in holding area when mine saw the NAF sign!! he dropped his shoulder and i very nearly popped out of side door. In the end i needed a lead to walk pass sign

luckly mine did decide to engage his one brain cell for test

not the socks are lovely and thin as i was also very worried that my leather boots would fit as they are a tight fit.

I was sent short socks and long socks and there are so light, then BUT so warm, honest no more tesco socks for me - i'll pm you the band name

Well done on the dressage!

at ZP in the warm-up, luckily that doesn't happen so often up here!!

AR - for Christmas I got a fab pair of Icebreaker merino socks. Thy are walking socks so not too long, they JUST come over the bottom of my breeches so don't tend to bulk out the leg. And sooooo warm, I love them
