Does popping some drops of citronella concentrate into my water bucket when I wash off my horses seem like a good idea, or is there anything to worry about with citronella? I believe the EU banned it for use in equine fly sprays, because some horses were allergic to it - but I don't think my two are
In this hot weather, they're needing daily rinse downs (or twice daily in the case of fat boy whose being worked twice a day), and atm I feel as though I'm just constantly washing off the fly spray that I'm applying - I use coopers, which is suppose to be affective for a couple of days (though not when you wash it off

They'll have fly sheets on when the horseflies make an appearance, but until then, I'd like to allow them some naked time.
