Claiming for colic

My horse unfortunately had colic yesterday. He is fine now thank goodness but I was wondering if I should claim on insurance. We had 2 call outs. One pain relief, 1 buscopan, 1 sedation. 2 tubes and 1 rectal. I'm guessing around £600. Think my excess is around £200.

I would as you have to tell the insurance company about it anyway and it will likely be excluded 12 months from initial signs.

You might as well, it will be on his record anyway and this is what you pay insurance for.

Whether you claim or not, for any future claims they'll look at the clinical history and will likely exclude things related to colic. So you might as well claim and get some of it paid.

You'll be excluded in future claims anyway as they'll go off vet records, so yes, claim.
