Anybody uses/used this or it's combination for lunging (chambon, side reins, feeline)?

Thinking of purchasing it/equivalent for bringing on inexperienced pony and for helping my boy maintain fitness, increase muscle etc.

Thoughts?

Don't know about the lunge kit, but I use side reins or two reins or a chambon depending on the horse and what I am doing with it.

I have it! :-) mum bought it for me as an intro to lunging kinda kit. He works really well in the side reins so that's mostly what I use now, nice a simple to operate. Sure there are others available too but I'm v happy with it.

Thanks for the replies :)

I'll reply :) I think you can achieve much more lunging with two lines, I'd save your cash....

Part of the kit includes a single lunge line which is long enough to be used as two, if that makes sense? So definitely something I want to do.

Just what I want to hear :D

Thank you - it seems a very simple kit but sounds like it is very effective. I'm just wondering if I can get the parts separately for less money :o

I use the Claire Lilley Lunge Kit all the time- I like it because it is easy to use and each part is specially designed. The Chambon is different to others I have seen and works well with my horses. It is the only kit I have seen with proper side reins- non-elastic ones. Each part is also available separately. The line for double lungeing and long-reining is much easier to use than struggling with two separate lunge lines. It clips on really easily- you do not need to thread it through stirrups etc- easy to use on youngsters. It is good value for all that you can do with the kit.

I think it is really useful. because it has 3 separate things, you can use whatever you need each time you lunge. I alternate between the Chambon, side reins and double lunge rein- my horse has really muscled up well with it. I think stretching work in the Chambon is especially good.
