I was going to get my horse a pair of Clarendon boots either the work or hunter ones. can any one reccommend them or others?? Im quite old school, any better choices out there? I want them for schooling XC and fast work. thanks in advance!!

ps happy tuesday!!

don't do it, they cook the tendons. they also absorb water and weigh a ton when wet. i used to use them but know better now!
aircooled and/or lightweight ones are much better. i particularly like NEW (new equine wear) boots, and Style, and Premier Equine.
a lot of people really rate Prolite, and Dalmar boots are lovely.

i have some, I HATE them, they take forever to get on, they are ok when on, and very esy to get off, just take forever to get on

I agree with this.
Takes me 5 minutes to boot up all four legs with any other boots these take double the time. Also mine seem to stretch and when i get going have to come off because they slip.:( I cant really reccomend any others coz i just use wof wear now. They are imho the best boots i ever put on my horses legs:)
Sorry for the essay.

I have got Premier Equine cool boots and they DO keep the legs cool. Clarendon make the legs very hot and sweaty which is not good. Dalmar and New Boot are also very good they are just a bit more expensive.

My Irish mare wears some clarendon boots I bought off a friend, they give great protection and she doesn't seem to mind them

Although I have just bought some tri zone xc boots they are fantastic.

which premier equine ones do you use? I'd like a pair of the aircooled ones but there are like four different types so I was just wondering which ones you use?
sorry the hijack post!
