Clarity on the forum

Irishlife, as jaypeebee, both responses were word perfect. What is the point of any one seeking stallion advice, from those who don't have the mare standing before them?

LynneB, you and I may not agree on everything, but for just this once, and yet again, word perfect!

When I joined this forum, the only pseudonym which the system seemed able to accept was the rather daft heading, which I seem to have assumed.

I sign every post with my Christian name. One day and when I work out how to do it, then I'll change my user name. As others, I have nothing to hide.

Alec Swan, Gt. Snoring (yes, it does exist) Norfolk. 07919 400 105 thenorfolk.stockfencecompany@virgin.net contact me if you will, (and that's NON promotional!)

I signed up with the name Eothain because I didn't expect to become as addicted to these forums as I have, plus it's one of the coolest names of a non-main character in the Lord Of The Rings. Eo meaning Horse and Thain meaning Lord/Master. I rarely venture outside of the breeding section but if you must know more about me;

Conor Sheridan, Brosna View Stables, Clara, Co. Offaly. www.brosnaviewstables.com

I own no stallions, yet! I own five mares, of which one has aborted her foal every year since her maiden foal, so I say I own four mares. Completely impartial towards stallions because I'm not interested in putting money in other people's pockets. The good of the ISH studbook is what concerns me.

I may be partial to Cruising however. ;)

Hello,
Just to say I don't stand any stallions, never have just breed a couple of mares.
I only ever name stallions in the intrest of debate and personal opinion not promotion- I have no connections to any particular stud/stallion.
It is good to thrash out the pro's and cons of using this stallion on that mare, this cross works with that cross etc. Is that allowed in the rules?
I hope that doesn't dissappear I find it really interesting!

Ridden & handled stallions for Lissava stud (standing Russel II, Ringfort Cruise and Contador amoung others)

Currently associated with Coolmore stallions.
