What is an acceptable amount of people to have in a dressage class?
Holding one at our yard on Sunday and already have 20+ in the walk and trot class

. I am actually really chuffed its only our 2nd one and last time we really struggled for entries. However I am fully aware that many people enter at the last minute so when do I close entries? The judge is happy to judge 30 is that too many?

30 is usually about the limit but if you are feeling generous with the rosettes, as it is obviously a low key affair designed to encourage folks, perhaps you could split the class into two sections.

Do you have enough Juniors to make a separate class or just split it numerically?

Ahhhh postman has just been, 25 in walk and trot class, 21 in prelim class and 7 in novice. Can't believe how popular it is!!!
Just realised I've not got any spare rosettes either

.
Would it be terrible if I sent them out in the post if people came joint placings?

It's always disappointing to have won a rosette, particularly when you're just starting out, and not to be able to take it away.
For the next show perhaps you could order a spare couple of sets just in case.

Glad it's going well.

Hi really sorry we can't come - new pony is coming at the weekend - would have loved to otherwise! Glad to hear you have lots of entries, I think someone from the yard we were at is going. I think 30 in a class is ok.
