Classes for irsh cob

Hi all. I have recently bought myself a black irish cob 15'3". He's a lovely boy and I was hoping to get him out and about and wondered about taking him to some local shows but I'm not sure what classes I can enter. All the cob classes are just for welsh cobs. I'm not sure I can enter working hunter as he is a cob. So is it just the ridden classes I can do? What would I be expected to do in this class? Any help greatly appreciated

You can enter him in the working hunter if you wanted, so long as you think he would be capable of hunting. How heavy is he? You could also enter him in the in hand.

Is he fully hairy (traditional) or hogged/pulled/trimmed?

If he is hairy you can do any classes that flag up on the TGCA show diary as qualifiers http://www.tgca.co.uk/apps/calendar/ or any similar classes at local shows
