We were at a big show today walking round and my five year old Grandson suddenly got very agitated and said 'grandma, look at that poor dog, they're not even feeding it!'

He had seen a whippet and was convinced the owners must be starving it!

Haha, its not only children that make that mistake.

Not doggy related but many years ago when my daughter was small we were stood in a queue in a supermarket and my daughter said in a loud voice "why is that lady so fat" to the lady behind us. I ignored her and busied myself emptying my trolley but my daughter wouldnt give up and asked again really loudly. I had to respond and say that is rude and you shouldnt make personal remarks and I apologised to the lady who actually said well she is right I am.

Reminds me of the story of the small boy who would bite his nails. So they told him that finger nails were indigestible and if he continued to bite his nails, they'd just stay in his tummy and it would swell up.

Next day he is with his mother on a bus. On the opposite seat there is a woman who is heavily pregnant. After staring at her for several minutes, the lad pipes up, "I know what you've been doing!"

Many, many years ago when I was out walking with my bitches, I heard a boy say to someone else "Look, a shaved Lassie!" I couldn't see any other dogs around at that moment, so I presumed that it was my tricoloured Smooth Collie that he referred to.

:D

I've lived my whole life with young children shouting 'Pleeeece dogs!!' at me.

A lot of teenagers say 'wow, cool dog' to which I reply, 'yes, he thinks so too, don't be giving him a big head!!'
