Classic FM radio Pet Classics show tonight and tomorrow - calming music for bonfire night

Apparently Classic FM has been running their Pet Classics show over bonfire night time for a few years. I only read about it yesterday. We’ll give it a whirl this year as a change from Radio 2. There were fireworks not too far away last night, but we had the radios playing R2 loudly in the kitchen and sitting room, and fortunately she didn’t notice the fireworks..

You and your pets are invited to join us for Classic FM’s Pet Classics on Saturday 4 November from 5pm, with a second programme on Bonfire Night itself, Sunday 5 November from 5pm.

Each programme will feature a carefully curated selection of the most soothing classical music, specially chosen to calm any nervous pet or anxious owner – look out for some fun animal classical connections too.

We didn't find at helped last year because of the pauses for talking and adverts. We ended up going back to Taiko drums and Fizz soon calmed down. They did the trick last night too. None of the others are bothered but Fizz is terrified.

Not dogs but I use Heart’s Club Classics for the bunnies. They don’t find classic musical very calming (too high pitched?) and prefer some bass!
