Can anbody recommend a classical based dressage trainer in the Warks area, I am looking for someone to teach but also school. Would need to travel as I am transportless at the mo. Knowle area of Warks.

Thanks

not sure but think someone based at Kineton - Pittern Hill Riding School/stables is involved in classical training. You could give the stables a ring - at least they may be able to put y ou in touch with someone who can help you further if they are not able to help.

Nick Dutton (a fantastic instuctor, really lovely aswell) is trained by Heather Moffett and really knows his stuff. PM me if you want his number

Yes can vouch for what a lovely guy he is, where is he based now, he was based at Leamington Spa, might be a bit far to travel to Knowle.

OP- have you looked on the notice board at Solihull RC, there use to be plenty advertised on there.

Tried looking on the board and its pretty empty. Nick was recommended however he's not taking any new clients on at the moment. I was also told about someone called Emma who is Henley Way however they didn't know her surname or contact details.

I know which Emma you mean, if her surname comes to me I'll pm you.

Have you tried Jo Swain, she is based not too far away at Lapworth, if she couldn't help you she would know plenty who could, you could get her number off the Swallowfield website. Also Gill Rose, she's out your way I think.

I'll email my friend who is still based in that area and pm you if she comes back with anything useful. What level are you working at just to give me an idea of what type of trainer you're looking for..

Thanks for that

Somebody told me Jo is pregant so doubt she'll be willing to school. Also I would have to go to her and transport an issue at the moment. Current horse was working at novice level dressage however is being brought back into work after surgery hence I need help with the schooling, also a Luso stallion (not here yet) so somebody with experience of Iberians would be fab but definately not essential. Flip I sound like I am asking for everything but my old trainer has emigrated and I am in need of a serious kick up the **** and miss my lessons.

Do you mean Emma Hawley?

Why not try looking at the BD trainers handbook - there are loads of people listed in there!

Fiona Bubb is a classical RC trainer from Meriden near Cov. Excellent trainer and has experience with Iberians. PM if you want number.

Andy Fizpatrick is excellent Classical trainer as well. He does travel that way. He's also part of TTT trust etc if you google him.
