Hi
I keep my horse in Claygate and the hacking is nice in Arbrook and Esher Commons but getting a bit repetitive. I want to hack over to Epsom and Ashtead Common as there looks to be loads of riding over there.
To get over I need to cut through Prince's Covert which is owned by the Crown. It has good riding trails but a permit costs £180 per annum to get a key for the gates which seems an awful lot.
My question is - Is the riding in Prince's Covert, Ashtead and Epsom Commons so good that it's worth spending £180 a year for a permit? There would be two of us going so that would be £360... eek!
Any knowledge gratefully received.
