I have just got a new JW saddle for Abbie and its calfskin.

What is best for cleaning this?

Java's saddle is also calfskin and I have always been to scared to clean it!

I have heard warm water/ cloth is best and then a conditioner but not to use saddle soap? I have a NAF saddle soap but dont want to use it incase I ruin the leather!

Any suggestions grateful
Thanks:)

I use The NAF citronella saddle soap or Carr Day &martin spray soap then Horseman's One Step or else the Antares conditioner!

I have a Devoucoux and use Devoucoux cleaner and any sort of beeswax based leather balm. Also make sure you also have calf leather stirrup leathers, normal leathers are too rough and will damage the leather.

Yeah I have calfskin leathers off my ideal impala pro so I'm using those at the moment- will probably get the JW bonded ones to match so I can put the ideal ones back on the saddle they are supposed to be on :D
