cleaning elastic breastplates

anyone have a good way to clean the fabric/elastic on them?

let the mud dry out in it, and then brush it off with an old stiff body brush or something similar

It should brush out as well, I do that with my elasticated breastgirth, just scrub!

thanks,it is looking a manky just now but don't want to get the leather wet by sponging it

Scrub it with a sponge or a brush. Then put some oil on the leather. Thats what I do.

get some water and just scrub it, then oil the leather works a treat on mine
