cleaning leather boots....

what's the best way to clean them, last boots were the cheap rubber types which I just used to clean with baby wipes assume I shouldn't do this to leather ones (they are tredstep ones)

So any gd tips for keeping them shiney, black and in good condition

Boot polish NOT tack cleaner! It's a different grain of leather and you need to treat it as you would any other leather shoe. If they are zipped, ensure there is no debris on/in the zip before you unzip them as this is what kills zips.
