Cleaning riding hats?

Hello!

How are you all caring for your riding hats?

I have a champion skull cap which has some makeup stains on the inside lining.

Do you recommend any sprays/ washes/ stick it in the washing machine?!

All advice welcome!

I use shoe deodoriser.

I did mine today and it’s come up really well.
I put a little bit of washing liquid (clothes not dishes!) on a brush and with warm water just scrubbed and then rinsed and put on the table in the sun.
Looks as new again and is dry for tomorrow.

Mine has removable liners so when they get too make up-y I remove the liner and wash that.

Otherwise I used to use the Charles Owen deodoriser spray.
