Cleaning rugs with......

Does it affect the waterproofing or not if no detergent is used.

I would like to clean merlins rambo duo and despite it saying it will fit into a washing machine.... and merlin having his own machine

I dont think it will really get it that clean.

So will it leak if I jet wash it??

Im going to do a disgusting winter stable rug that I would be to ashamed to take into a cleaners.Hoping it will blast the pooh of lol dirty horse.

Yep I use a pressure washer each year with no detergent. Works really well.

... I shove all my rugs, that will fit, into my machine and wash them about 3 times, turning them between washes ..... mind you my machine packed up last week, cleaing my friends one ..... and needed new Brushes, but is back working now

I am a sad person, who would offer to wash them if I was nearer to you

I pressure wash all my turnout rugs then use Nikwax rug wash with a big yard brush to scrub it in then I pressure wash it back out and use Nikwax re-proofer but just use the hose pipe to rinse this off otherwise the pressure washer takes the re-proofer straight out!

Actually, merlin has his very own bosch washing machine

...... I just dont think that the duo outer will wash very well in it

But may well try it as have the nikwax rug wash stuff
