I cannot seem to find any way of getting all the skank of the underside of my browband/noseband/headpiece? Anyone got any good ideas?

You can also dip it in some warm water and rub with your fingers. I find this works well on the parts that get really greasy, but make sure you wipe the water off straight after.

Old fashioned way, before foam pads with a rough side came into being was a wad of mane or tail hair screwed up in a ball.

Best way, wipe it each time it is used, that's what I used to tell the PC children at rallies. (Do as I say, not as I do)

I use the scouring pad, well I would, if I used browbands anyway.

Scrub at it with a toothbrush under the warm tap - gets all the scuzz off. Leave to dry and then apply lots of saddle soap. Thats the only way I can ever get grease off!
