Anyone used it. My horse has white line disease in all 4 feet. Farrier has been today and cut out the yukky bits and left his shoes off. I had heard about cleantrax, asked farrier who said he had heard o it but didn't think it was available here, but we reasearched and easy to get hold of. BUT how doable is it in practise? Its a lot of money to spent if horse wont stand with feet in bags!

Yes, I have used it and it works. The trick is to put bags on first, then some sort of poultice boot, and then pour in the solution, taping up the top of the bags at below the knee or hock. I left mine tied and happily munching at a haynet.

I've used it a few times for persistent thrush, it works very well. I bought the specialist soaking boots and reinforced them around the hoof edge with tape. Obviously your horse needs to be okay with leg handling and having thing on their legs (e.g. travel boots) and quiet to stand tied up. Mine are also trained to stand still on a voice command which is handy if they move so a boot starts slipping and you need to recover before it spills. I do two legs first, then stick carrier bags on them and do the other two. Choose a quiet time and give a big haynet. Actually last time I'd just tied up when a JCB turned up to dig the field next door, but luckily he couldn't care less even with a bucket waving over his head.
