SO proud of my wonderful warmblood, Lui. I took him clear round cross country-ing today at our local riding club. I haven't done anything like this since BC (Before Children) - about sixteen years, but I knew that he'd take me round and look after me.
It was chucking it down with rain this morning, and I was in two minds as to whether to do it or not, but we went and walked the course, the ground wasn't boggy and not too many people turned up because of the weather so it didn't get churned up, either.
So I went back and picked up Lui, and after tripping over, and breaking, the practice fence, he went round the rest of the course fantastically, gave me a wonderful ride!
Here are a few pictures, taken by my intrepid son who chased me around the course with the camera - excuse the teeny size of the fences and my pretty awful position (on a dressage saddle), but I'm still chuffed!

Approaching the ditch, which he'd never seen before
And a few jumping pics
Thank you for looking!
