Cleveland Bays or Connemaras - What Would You Prefer

If they were the only 2 breeds left on the planet and I couldn't have a WB, then it would have to be the original WB - the Cleveland Bay!

Defo connies. My wee grey is a Conn x TB and I would have that combination for eventing again and again.

For all those who do love CB's - thanks!!!!!!!!!!! For those who have had a bad experience, I invite you to come and meet and ride my donkey -you will be converted.

PS The only connies I have met have been stubborn and strong - but they have always been in riding schools (I'm too tall for a Connie or NF)

She has then twisted my paw up over my ear and made me vote for Cleveland Bays - Ooooooooooowwwwwww MUM

Personally they are all big, hairy, smelly and take far too much of mummy's time that she could be spending with me - although come to think of it those chews that the blacksmith takes off her feet are quite tasty and I do enjoy a quick snack on a fresh poo - and as Clevelands have bigger feet and do bigger poos - I'm voting Cleveland Bay

SW-Useful-O is fine thank you. Spent last night in as her best bud was in and they were deafening everyone calling to each other

She's left a SWUO shaped indentation in the straw where she's been lying down

Ahh!!!!!!!!! Donkey just does a big pile of her poos and then beds down on top of them every night (usually around her ears!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Spanish horses are my preference but if I had to choose just between connys or CBs then it would be a conny. Every CB I've ever met (full or partbred) have had less than pleasant character quirks so I'd avoid them like the plague.

Impossible to compare but will have to say Cleveland Bay as I've worked with them and owned a part bred!

Had a couple of connie ponies, never ridden a CB before, im more into my TBs&ID crosses. Willow is TB crossed connie, and he is ace

Like CB's but adore Connemaras. They make fabulous little eventers and their temperments are excellent.

as i have never had a CB and have had about 3/4 connies, im abit biased

im sure CBs are lovely though, but connemaras temp does it for me, they are so genuine

Actually Welshies and Welsh x TB's are the best!!!!

But out of those two, Connies, used to ride a lovely one!

Have never ridden a CB but i do like them!
