I'm looking for some clever person or ppl to help me, I'm trying to work out the colour of my collie is ( sounds strange right), not two ppl can decide what she is, and this has gone on for about 3 yrs..
She is a 'sable colour' a bright burnt orange colour with no shading in coat, she had no dark hairs mixed in fur or on tips the only black is just on her ears, that you need to seach for.
I thought prehaps clear sable, but can't as her parents aren't sable in colour her mother is black & white, grand mother same while dad was a blue.
So again I thought sable Merle ( as dad blue so guessing with Merle gene and passed it on).. But from gene pictures on Internet a Merle with black & white cants produce a sable.. So I'm think tri factored sable, no idea what it is but must fit right?.. Nope as she has no shading/patches on body.
So what is she??
