I've noticed over the past few weeks my 8 year old ex racers hock has made a clicking noise when you pick it up to clean his feet out. It doesnt seem to bother him at all, but is quite a loud clicking noise. Hes sound and seems fine in everyother way.

Any ideas on what it could be?

If the horse is not lame or in pain dont worry lots of horses click i cant remember what causes it something to do with the fluid in joints and air i think. Ex racehorse can sometimes have a lot of issues with health but a click is not something to get worried about as long as there is no lameness or pain. You could try giving supplements cod liver oil or cider and vinegar but i am not convinced they do much good.
