Clicking stifle

My 4 year old has a clicking stifle. It doesn't lock but it sometimes clicks when he walks. Sometimes it's really bad and clicks with every step and sometimes it doesn't click at all. Is there anything I can do to help him or stop it clicking? I took him to his first show last Sunday and his leg didn't click at all that day. He had been stabled the day before and I don't know if that made a difference. Would I be marked down when showing if his leg was to start clicking?

I showed my lad with a clicking stifle and it never got mentioned. It's very common in cob types, as he is <<<<<<<<<< and is usually linked to growing. Mostly they grow out of it, my lad didn't but with strengthening work he is doing well. Oh yeah he qualified Royal London. I only dabbled in showing, too much like blinking hard work!!! Respect to the people who turn out every weekend!
