Of those three options, only dressage would be of interest to me.
Now if there was an endurance training clinic, I'd be there like a shot - because I broke my leg and missed the one I was supposed to go to earlier this year.
Endurance riding clinics? I didnt releaise there was such a thing. How do these work?
just doing some research. Hoping to set up buisness in events and the equine events will be my fun part to the big stuff ill be doing lol
An endurance riding clinic would for example involve a cross-terrain ride of whatever distance, followed by a mock "vet hold" to give newer riders an idea of what goes on during the vet hold stages of a longer distance endurance ride. It could also involve heart rate monitoring, tips on feeding for endurance, maybe a session on gallops (once again with heart rate monitoring), maybe a treadmill session, or hydrptherapy. Or perhaps it could be water-crossing practice for those whose horses aren't so confident there. There's al sorts of things which could be done.
Really, there's a lot more to endurance riding than people commonly think - believe me - it's not simply a long hack in the countryside!
That sounds good, a Edurance lecture as such where an endurance rider attends a venue with their horse and explains tack and equipment and talks about what its all about ect but I can think right now off the top of my head how you'd organise an endurance clinic.
Ill have think
It would depend on who was taking it. Although big named riders are great, i would be more intrested in a lesson with someone who trained or helped those riders. As good as they are, they might not be the best teachers.
I would pick mostly sj ones myself but like to do the others aswell for something different and to help with the showjumping.
ditto what some of the others said- it would depend on the trainer, venue and cost more than discipline. a friend of mine runs clinics up north so PM me if you need any help...can probs give you some pointers....
