Clip lines- showing

Hattie was last clipped in Dec (blanket). She still has lines on her belly and bottom. We have our first show in 2 weeks, do you think I will be marked down? I am trying to brush them out but not sure if they will be completely gone in 2 weeks.

all i cant say is re-clip her, i dont think you will get rid of them any other way

I wouldn't worry a lot of horses won't have coated out fully yet. You are unlikey to get marked down.

I would re-clip her but being a traditional its very hard to blend a clip in with her feathers.

I would say it is too late to reclip now. The summer coat is coming through and you could ruin her coat. Mine still have clip marks, althoguh they had hunter clips so the marks only show on their legs.

Would you be better of next time you clip having more taken off (or do you prefer it left on for warmth?). We do our final clip around January/February which gives the coats enough time to come through for April.

I was going to full clip her in Feb but her hair was so thick my little battery clippers (have no electricity at yard) wouldn't cut through it. Next time I will take her to a friends to use her mains clippers to full clip her.

I have been hair removing on my boy like mad and he still has a clip line from Novermber!
