Hi

sorry I am sure there are plenty of posts re clipping but too many to search through... so being lazy for speed

I have a conne cross that I ride both Sat & Sun and she is long reined or ridden for me once during the week. I have so far not clipped her as we are not doing too much but this weekend being a bit mild for Nov (!) she was a bit too sweaty although she dried quickly, I am worried without the sunshine she will take longer over the next few weeks.

I am thinking of doing a very basic neck & belly clip or maybe just a bib clip. Anybody got any thoughts ?? Is it worth it at all as the weather in theory should start to cool ....rather than 17 degrees as on Sunday! She is out from 8 to 4.30 at the mo and in at night. I have plenty of various rugs so that is no problem - I just don't want to clip or over clip if I really don't need to.

many thanks

I'm holding off from clipping mine as 'if' we have another bad winter I won't be riding much anyway and it saves faffing about with rugs and I find mine is easier to manage weightwise and seems more comfortable without rugs.

If I'm only riding a few times a week I just make sure that they are cooled off before turning out, they tend to give themselves a good insulating cover of mud anyway.
