clipcloppop - how is Raff?

I dont think she has the internet at the moment. So she cant gey on here to post from her mobile. Im sure she wont mind this was her last status about Raff on FB
-raff update- good news is the fracture is starting to heal. Bad news is he has to be cross tied for at least 3 months. Poor little raff. At least he seems happy.

hey all you lovely hhoers!
My darling raff is fine. He had more xrays yesterday, and i think it was good news (vet is careful not to get my hopes up!). The broken bit is healing- shown by lump on the bone. He did say raff would be cross tied for 3months presuming there are no complications. Which makes me sad. But he seems to really be coping very well. As JoG says, i took a photo of him earlier for facebook and he looks perfectly happy with pricked ears and smiley eyes.
I know how lucky i am to have him and i'm glad we chose to give him the chance. He's showing EVERYONE how amazing he is.
Bearing in mind he's been cross tied for so long, we thought he might get a bit excited when we brought him out for xrays. But there wasn't even a hint of excitedability! He stood still and calm.
I'm also very lucky that he's on such a fab yard, where he was found very quickly by the amazing YO who knew how to get him down from the field without damaging him further. The vet said yesterday that if she'd tried to box him, things would have been very different. Also, my friends have been great and so has my husband. So raff has lots of company and cuddles.
I'm starting to cope ok now. I was a wreck to start with. As i'm sure many of you know, raff is my absolute world. The day i met him, my life changed forever.
:)
Thank you all for thinking of us. My computer should be up and running by the weekend so i promise to do a big proper update with photos. Xxx

Good news!!:D

I know its not the same but my girl was on box rest with lami from May to the end of Sept the year before last - it seemed like an eternity at the time but she did really well and is as good as new now so it was worth every painful long minute. It will be for Raff too.:):):)

Oh thank goodness. I am so very glad that Raff is coping, hopefully he'll continue to heal quickly and 3 months flies by. It seems like such a long time, but it isn't really. Keeping everything crossed for you both and looking forward to pictures :D

Glad Raff seems to be doing ok and he's coping well with being cross tied. Isn't it amazing when they just seem to know they have to behave.
