he's fabbby dabbby dooo! been to see him this morning, and he's chilling in the field. fpr anyone that missed yesterday's post... after surviving 7 weeks being cross tied with no problems, the last week with him on box rest has been HELL. vet eventually agreed i could turn him out...
so we did...
in fact i've just put the photos up on facebook of him going out. i'll put link up.
this morning, he was 100% raff again. he lifted his head up from grazing to look at me with disinterest and 'oh god, here she comes to annoy me' again, instead of the strange desperation he's had in his eyes the last few days where it felt like he was going to climb on my head...
he's currently in a very small turnout area with minimal grass as he hasn't had grass for so long and i don't want colic/laminitis next! i'll extend it a bit in a couple of days.
apres sedalin... not wanting to get up.... my lovely, strong, brave friends helping...
from crazy monster to donkey... thank you again to the creator of sedalin...
seconds after being turned out
than my battery ran out... but i stayed with him for a few hours til sedation had worn off... and he came round fine. stayed chilled. and this morning he's still chilled. wooohoo..
p.s. yes, i know the grass is minimal. he has an abundance of hay in there. i don't want to put him straight onto too much grass. and yes, i know he looks rough... he has been tied up for 2 months... without being able to move... he'll look lovely soon!
