Clipcloppop!

oooh. i'm SO excited! my own post!

raff is hunkydory. home, turned out, completely fixed. back to donkey-horse. my confidence has taken about a million backwards steps with the enforced break, but i'm getting on him every now and then. yesterday i managed to get on and walk in circles without being led! which may seem pathetic to some people but is a mammoth step for me. i've ridden a few other people's horses too (all without problems/nerves etc, it's random) . i've been paying a local girl to come and ride him 3 times a week. he's up to 45 mins hacking with trot work, and has been perfect. his first hack out he was a bit nostril-y but settled down by the second hack! the girl is very impressed with him. I'm too pauperesque to keep paying someone so i've just advertised for a sharer:

i've had a few calls, and have 3 people coming next week to meet him/me. i'm hoping to find someone who is reliable and want to ride at least twice a week. i just don't have time, and i think it's the enormous pressure to get him going that has trashed my confidence. i'm also booking us into a 3 day confidence building 1-1 course quite locally (ashen equestrian centre - it looks amazing) once i've sold enough gumpf on ebay to pay for it - to make up for missing camp (which i'd convinced myself was going to fix us).

me, i'm good. just knee deep in setting up my little business. the website is taking forever... and has made me crosseyed!

i've got a brill photo of raff... but will pm it to you. you'll see why... :D

thank you for thinking of him. he's my little star. he's still the love of my life... and every second i spend with him, i cherish... just getting on board makes me plop my pants... i should be clipclopplop... :D

i forgot to say... whilst being crosstied, we had to treat him as a laminitic as he was so high risk. so he lost a lot of weight. and being tied meant he lost ALL his muscle. that's all coming back now. his neck is chunky again! yay! his back end is still building up, but he's defo almost there. SO chuffed. SO lucky he's still with us :D
