Ok I have decided to get the Wolseley Swift clippers. Ive clipped my own many years ago when I was 17. Think I had listers back then. Im fussy and used to have no problems.

Im only clipping/hogging my own.

So my main question is how do I know what blades to go for?

People mention med and harsh coats? Haven't a clue what my boy has. His mane is very thick though. So the blades need to cope with that!

Help please :-)

You'd be best with A2 blades. They are the medium ones. You don't want fine there more for tbs or people that are really good at not leaving lines. If you go for course you'll be clipping more often. A2 are pretty much standard and what I use on everything you'll hog a mane fine with them too.
