Help I'm confused by the clippers on the market. I've looked at websites for advice but I thought I'd go to the people who use them.

Basically I want to spend £100 - £150, mains operated fine, have a welsh cob I need to clip. See the Moser/Wahl ones but concerned they won't do job as 45w I think they were, are they powerful enough to do a full clip???

Anyone got these / use them to clip a welsh/cob?

Thanks! Jo

I use Listers , my big trimmers are the lasers and had them as my 18th birthday present from my parents 14 years ago. They are very powerful and heavy duty, I used to clip for a living in winter and I would be clipping from 8am - 5pm most weekdays doing a lot of hunters and pointers and they have never let me down ...depending on how many horses you will have to clip you may not need such a powerful set. All ours are Native Ridden Ponies all Welsh bar one Irish Imigrant (connemara) and they whiz thru the coats .

Dextella!!! £99 yes I know lol! Farmcare sell them and they are big heavy duty ones and go straight through my cobs hair, feathers and hog him so easily!!! I didn't hold much hope for them due to the price but I am so impressed and so far I am very happy.

Thanks guys - I went for the Dextella ones coz of the money, I'd found that farm shop online - fab price - but then my hubby found the same shop on ebay and the clippers came with some trimmers too , so now I can't wait for them to arrive so I can clip my hairy pony then we can start work again! Thanks for the advice. j
