my little clippers that do legs and face area today. I have always thought that you clip with the hair, rather than away from it. But someone today told me that you go against the hair....okay...so he isn't that horsey....but now I'm confused!!

It IS with the hair, isn't it???

some people clip in the direction that the hair grows if they are just tidying up the backs of legs.

ahh interesting...see that is what I'm doing - I guess I will just have to experiment! thanks.
 
With the hair is a good way to blend in unclipped with clipped areas - I hog my horse and when I do his legs I clip to a couple of inches below the knee against the hair then do the next to inches with it so that there is a graduation between the longer and shorter stuff.
