Can anyone recommend some powerful but quiet clippers?

My old clippers are very powerful and clip through really thick pony coats easily BUT they are really noisy.

I now have a pony who is much more sensitive about the noise (fine if I borrow my friends quiet clippers) but I still need to be able to clip quicky through my old pony's cushings coat.

Any suggestions?

Instead of using clippers I have used a Smart Coats very successfully on my pony with cushings. It makes no noise at all, is easy to use and takes out lots of the hair! The quietest clipper i know of is the Moser Avalon, but its only light duty. So why not try using the Smart Coats first and then the Avalon after on your pony with cushings?

I saw these smart coats thinning combs being used to very good effect on a very hairy cob at the BETA show when I was doing a clipping demo on him. I am fairly impressed with them TBH and they do thin out very quickly.

I may offer this as general advice prior to design clipping. I've got a box of these combs at home which smart grooming sent me, so I'll have a ponder on this - thinking out loud here
