Clipper repair problems

I don't post here but I'm after some advice!!! Basically over a year ago I sent my clippers off to a well advertised and trusted repairer... Who I had used every year for the last 6 years. Any way he repaired them I paid and 2 weeks later they never arrived back with me. Obviously phone call later he reassured me they had been sent recorded signed for and he'd get back to me. 2 weeks later still heard nothing so rang again. His response sorry you'll have to wait 6 weeks until we can sort something out!!! Anyway to cut an incredibly long story short! 1 year later no clippers no insurance money nothing won't return phone calls emails you name it!!! Iv tried . So what do I do?? He lives miles away so can't pop round! The clippers where lister lasers and had 4 sets of blades all which were sharpened plus £70 of repairs! So not just lost my clippers lost the value of a second pair? And still borrowing friends when I need them! What can I do next?? Thank you in advance! Happy to hand out name

Write to him by registered post. Add up the total of your loss and tell him he's got 7 days to either send your clippers or give you a refund. Tell him you've waited much more than a reasonable time and if he doesn't sort it out, you'll take him to Court and name him on every horsey forum on the internet.

I think it's terrible the way you've been treated!
