Hi :-)

I am about to fork out a purchase my first proper set of clippers and would appreciate hearing people's tips / recommendations! I would quite like cordless, but have been warned off due to battery life and weight? I would prefer to spend 'less' (who wouldn't!!), but definitely want a set that will go the distance. I should also mention that I have a very sensitive horse - he does just about deal with being clipped, but he would definitely appreciate a 'low key' model!!

Thanks in advance!

Hi, we use the Moser/Wahl Avalon cordless clippers, battery life is quite good and they are very quiet, ideal for sensitive horses. They can cope with thick feather etc. using the correct blade and taking it slowly.

I Have lister liberty cordless, and have no problem with battery life. My friend bought some second hand ones and also has never had a problem. Did take a couple of clips to get used to them as my old clippers were heavier.
