Hi all,
All this talk of getting ready for winter has got me thinking! I need to get some clippers this year, so have a few questions:
What model / make would you recommend?
Do you know of any offers on atm that would save some pennies?
Where is the best place to buy clippers?
Some info: they would need to clip two 'good to clip' horses a couple of times each winter, but would rather they weren't very loud though! I would like them to last well, but am put off at the cost of some too, so prob nicely mid range or a sale is the way forward! Ideally I wouldn't like to spend over about £250, so just want the best I can get for the price.
Thank you loads for your help!

We have liveryman clippers (I can't tell you what make) but they cost £150 and came with a free trimmer, we do 3 horses a year with them.

They are the ones with the battery pack so you can put that in your pocket and their really lightweight so if your doing a full clip your hand doesn't get tired.

I have got 'quiet operation' Heiniger Cordless Clippers. They are really good. They were not the cheapest, but my last horse was a tricky customer, so I got the quietest ones I could find for him, and because they are cordless, they are much easier to use and you don't have to worry about anyone standing on the wire.
