I'm contemplating getting my own clippers but cant quite come to a decision whether or not to get some.
Horse is presently clipped by a girl on the yard but she is apparently going off to oz at some point in the near future. Horse used to be a menace to clip but is now a complete lamb and falls asleep. I've watched it been done many a time..have a fair idea how it's done. Horsey generally gets a full clip and needs done about 2 or 3 times a winter, cost about 30 quid a pop so for the price of the ones i'm looking at that would be equal to their price almost.
I've seen the dextella clippers and read good feedback on here about them-they've spurred me on a bit to get some.
Anyone want to give me a push to get them? or not?
sorry for some waffling there!
thanks for any contribution!

Go for it! I bought my first set this year (Heiniger Handy Horse - £175, really like them). My first clip took ages but my old horse was great & just stood there while I fiddled about. 2nd one on my youngster was better since I was much more confident. Maybe by next time I'll get the lines a bit straighter - was tempted to do a full clip on both mine since it's easier but neither of them really need it & getting the lines right was good practice! Good luck if you do go for it.

thnk you! i think i will..have a feeling the yard will be jumping down my throat as theres only 2 people on the yard that own their own clippers and insist its a very highly technical thing etc etc...

i also want my own pair but am gonna have to work some overtime first to buy them, but i would really like to be able to do this myself and not rely on others, go for it i say
