Hey,
My cob needs clipping most of the way through the year, I have been paying someone else to clip him but at times have had to wait months till she gets time to do it and i end up not being able to exercise him properly coz he starts sweating buckets like 5 minutes into riding him plus when you add it up, paying someone to clip him costs alot.

So ive decided to see if i can get my own but have no idea what are the best makes to buy. Im pretty sure it would be the best idea for me to get heavy duty clippers.
Does anyone know any good makes of clippers?

ive just bought some liveryman harmony clippers.lightweight battery and mains and not too expensive especially if you only have one or two horses dont want to pay a fortune

I've got a very hairy cob and use heiniger progress clippers, they are really light & quiet.

I clip his feathers & hog every few weeks & full clip every couple of months. I didn't know if they were up to the job when I bought them 2 years ago but they are brilliant.

Lister are an excellent make, probably the best although saying that I've just ordered some Heineger Progress

PS Farm Care UK also have an ebay shop which works out cheaper than the main website, or did for me the other day anyway!

Those look good but to be honest are probabaly a bit over the top for what you want as seem to be suited to big yards.
