My new cob x is clipped fully (legs and all!), and it would cost me a fortune to have someone clip him for me, so I thought I'd buy myself some clippers. Which ones are the best, preferably battery powered and not too heavy?

I have liveryman harmony battery pack and mains ones. They are good for my hairy cob but a full clip would take a while. They are really light and quiet too. I also have Lister star which have been fab. Not battery pack but very good at going thru feathers and a thick coat. Pretty light and quiet x

Having just clipped my teddy cob this morning, all off except half head (which I always leave on against the weather). It took 50 mins. I use the Lister Liberty which I have had for four years now :). It has a battery pack which lasts for two fully clipped horses. It has a hard life with a yard full of horses to clip, but is quiet and very light weight. I have two battery packs which take turns in charging. The only thing I would add is that it tends to get hot by the end of an hour, so have a cuppa between horses :) and alwys start with the head and tickly bits first! I have always used Lister with a pack over the years; different model names coming out but basically the same!
