Just wondering if anyone has tried using mens hair clippers or pet clippers (non horse) for clipping and trimming up your horses. Someone suggested it to me as an alternative to paying the added cost applied to anything equine . Has anyone tried this - are they robust enough - it's just a thought but if it works for others any suggestion on make/model.

thanks

I have the roma clippers that look like hair trimmers, you can change the cutting length and there's combs too. I use them alongside my standard clippers and a teeny tiny set. They're not expensive at all. My boy's hogged and trimmed and they do the job fine.
