So I'm looking to buy a set of clippers. I have a TB that gets a full clip in October and a trace in January, plus I would probably do the same for the my friends' two horses as well (two ISHs).

On my old yard, where I worked, I would clip thirty horses twice a year, so the clippers they used were very durable, however on looking them up also very expensive... what clippers would you recommend that don't break the bank, are durable enough to cope with three not-too-thick coated full clips, and aren't too noisy (mine is a pro to clip, but my friend's 5 yo is a bit unsure)?

I have considered just paying someone to clip him, but it probably works out just as cheap to buy a set over the long term.

Chocolate and peanut butter cookies for all recommendations!!!

I have got some master clip ones. They are not that expensive but have had them for a year now and they have done a reasonable amount of work and still going strong. I also emailed the company to see if they had any reconditioned ones and they sold me a pair that had been on a photo shoot (so technically second hand) for a reduced price

I bought a second hand pair of liveryman arenas from a clip servicing place for around £120. Came with 8/12 warranty, plus i had the peace of mind that they had just been serviced.
I a bit wary of the cheaper makes and if possible would only buy liveryman or lister.
