Hi, 2 things. Has anyone got any of the good clippers for doing full clips, if so, which sort are the best, regarding, not over heating, not too noisy etc. I would like some quiet ones.
And also, I remember reading about someone getting some trimmers or knife thing to cut hair from fetlocks. Has anyone got a link or a piccy. Thanks.

I have the heavy duty Heiniger (320 watt) they are fantastic clippers, air cooled so never overheat. However are a little on the noisy side because of there power but gives a fantastic clip.

Have the Heiniger progress clippers which are fantastic, cool running, light weight, easy to use, quiet and cheap!! Brilliant clippers

I used to have the Premier 3000c and they were really good but a bit heavy for my ickle hands. I now have Lister Neons and am loving them.

Hauptner 2000 clippers are good and v powerful if clipping a lot of horses -but -i've found that you need to have them serviced more regularly than normal clippers and not all clipper blade sharpening people are good at sharpening Hauptner blades as they are precise so I have to send them back to the uk agents- I used to have Heiniger ones and I thoroughly recommend them......

Ive got some Lister ones that I've had for 12yrs doing about 10 full clips per year - had them serviced about 5 times and they've never gone wrong. I find them not too heavy or noisy either. Not got any experience with othr clippers - mine have lasted so long!
